Position Summary : The Global Commercial Multiple Myeloma Director is responsible, for (1) setting the strategic vision and strategy for our MM CAR T business, including Go-to-Market and launch strategy/readiness activities for LCM opportunities for arlo-cel (first-in-class GPRC5D CAR T), and (2) providing Commercial strategy and planning for new MM assets entering late stage development.
This individual will bring strong commercial instincts, a deep understanding of multiple myeloma, and the ability to synthesize complex, cross-functional and regional inputs into clear strategic recommendations. They will work closely with the matrix team to ensure globally aligned, locally relevant execution. The role will report to the VP, Global Commercial, Cell Therapy, Hematology with a dotted line to the ED, Global Commercial, Cell Therapy, Multiple Myeloma.
Key Responsibilities : • Drive development and execution of the strategic brand plan, GTM strategy, and global launch plan for arlo-cel (first-in-class GPRC5D CART) lifecycle opportunities
• Foster a collaborative, insight-driven culture of continuous learning across the global commercial community
• Ownership of arlo-cel LCM activities in partnership with the rest of the MM brand team, including:
• Accountable for WW Commercial launch readiness
• Lead commercial opportunity assessments and geographic footprint expansion, integrating market insights, competitive intelligence, and pricing dynamics to formulate clear strategic options and recommendations
• Translate market insights and performance data into strategic trade-offs and actionable recommendations for senior leadership and governance forums
• Align with Commercial teams across Hematology to ensure integrated strategy and execution
• Interface with functions (e.g., GDD, Commercial, CTDO) to synthesize inputs into a cohesive cross-functional franchise-level MM CT brand plan
• Lead strategy development for new MM assets entering late development
• Lead commercial planning and execution excellence, including development of key enablement materials (campaign frameworks, messaging, competitive tools), oversight of agency management and budgets, and prioritization of congress presence and scientific engagement in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders
• Partner closely with the Global Executive Director to shape strategic recommendations and support key governance decisions on high-impact topics (e.g., indication expansion, market and site activation, timing delays, slot allocation)
• Serve as the primary global commercial partner to selected markets, ensuring strong alignment with global strategy while enabling locally relevant execution and accelerating performance through best practice sharing and cross-market insights
• Serve as the lead with support from the Multiple Myeloma Cell Therapy Lead for arlo-cel LCM/new asset positioning/corporate message development and IR messaging, pressure-testing messaging
• Act as a central point of coordination for patient advocacy and broader stakeholder engagement
Key Qualifications & Experience: • Minimum 10 years of experience in biopharma
• Bachelor’s degree required, with a life-sciences related discipline (or other scientific education) preferred
• Advanced degree preferred, including business and scientific (MBA,MD/PhD/PharmD)
• Experience launching growth brands or indication expansions in highly competitive areas, in the US and globally, with proven track record of driving performance and executional excellence
• Relevant experience in Multiple Myeloma and Cell Therapy is preferable
• Ability to operate and prioritize effectively in a dynamic, ambiguous environment
• Experience working with customers and translating customer needs to the cross-functional development team
• Demonstrated ability to translate insights into clear strategic direction; experience in developing strategic brand plans preferred. Global experience is a plus.
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional, matrixed teams, maintaining strong relationships and influencing outcomes and support key asset decisions
• Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical industry; possesses a global understanding of end-to-end drug development and commercialization processes
• Abreast of scientific issues as they impact business development and strategic planning
• Results driven, with excellent organizational, analytical, and planning skills
• Established excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to navigate through a complex and dynamic healthcare environment
• Effectively utilizes information technology systems and program management tools including systems (e.g., MS project, Excel)
