Your Mission

As Director, Connectivity & Travel Supply Operations, you will own the operations and systems that keep Engine’s travel content healthy, connected, and scalable. Reporting to the EVP, Supply & Strategy, you will lead the ARI team (Availability, Rates & Inventory), connectivity strategy and operations, travel partner activation and maintenance, last-mile reliability, and the reporting and operating rhythm that hold the organization to outcomes. You set the connectivity and reliability agenda and drive it to production in close partnership with Product and Engineering — you own the operational outcomes, not the build teams themselves.

This is a builder’s role at the operational core of Engine’s travel partner ecosystem. We’re looking for someone with the process discipline to scale proven motions, the technical fluency to engage credibly with Product and Engineering, and the operating instinct to bring structure to ambiguity. You will own the last-mile infrastructure that keeps travelers’ bookings from breaking, and you’ll make AI and automation central to how the function scales. The domain can be learned; what can’t be taught is the discipline, the rigor, and the ability to move an organization.

What You’ll Do

• Own the ARI team (Availability, Rates & Inventory) and the health of Engine’s content — rate accuracy, validation, parity, coverage, and booking reliability across the portfolio.

• Set Engine’s connectivity strategy across PMS, CRS, GDS, channel managers, and third-party routing — choosing which methods and partners to add or retire, and setting the priorities Product and Engineering build against.

• Run activation and ongoing maintenance of travel partner content — onboarding, property configuration, product enablement, and keeping inventory, rate plans, and content live, accurate, and in parity across direct and third-party sources.

• Own the last-mile infrastructure and levers that prevent customer-impacting failures — supplier incident response, booking-failure root-cause analysis, proactive monitoring, and the reliability mechanisms that stop issues before they reach the traveler.

• Make AI and automation core to how the operation scales — predictive detection, intelligent routing, and automated resolution so the team gets ahead of issues and manual effort shrinks as volume grows.

• Own the operational side of travel partner API and integration programs — requirements, activation, and reliability from scoping through production — in close partnership with the Product and Engineering teams who build them.

• Lead Travel Partner Support — the technical relationships, performance reviews, and escalation channels across travel partners, GDSs, and connectivity providers — and extend the model into air, car, and activities as those lines scale.

• Define the KPIs for content and connectivity health, run the operating rhythm that holds the org to outcomes, and build and scale a multidisciplinary team as complexity and international coverage grow.

What You’ll Bring

• Leadership Experience. 8+ years in operations leadership, ideally in travel, marketplace, or a related complex, high-volume industry.

• Operational Mastery. Proven ability to design, implement, and scale operational processes that deliver measurable improvements in reliability, quality, and speed.

• Technical Fluency. You understand systems, APIs, data flows, and integration architecture well enough to engage credibly with Engineering and Product — ask the right questions, identify risk, and hold technical teams accountable.

• Execution Discipline. You take well-defined motions and scale them with rigor and consistency across distributed teams; you don’t just track status, you move work forward.

• Data-Driven Operator. You build KPI frameworks that drive decisions and are comfortable working across Snowflake or similar data environments to surface actionable signals.

• Structured Problem Solver. You break ambiguous challenges into clear frameworks and build the operating model others work inside of.

• Domain Agnostic, Fast Learner. Experience in lodging ARI, GDS workflows, channel managers, NDC standards, PMS integrations, or other travel connectivity technologies is a plus — not a requirement. What matters is the discipline, the rigor, and the instinct to go deep fast.

Nice to Have: Background in marketplace, SaaS, or connectivity-heavy environments. Familiarity with PMS/CRS systems, GDS, VCC or payment integrations, or travel connectivity technology.
