The University of Miami/UHealth Department of Pediatrics has an exciting opportunity for a full time Director, Clinical Programs - School Health Initiative to work in Miami, FL.

The Director, Clinical Program develops, plans, and coordinates the administrative activities of the assigned facilities. In addition, the Director, Clinical Program plans, manages, and promotes all education and outreach activities, including classes, seminars, conferences, support groups, and special events. Plans and executes community relations strategies and tactics that pertain to expanding outreach for assigned area patients and their families to increase patient awareness and support.

Core Responsibilities: • Administers the day-to-day operations of the center, and functions as the primary point of contact for administrative issues. • Leads the development and execution of initiatives in alignment with the center’s objectives to provide information, education, counseling, guidance, support, and resources. • Collaborates with senior administrators to solicit support for these initiatives. • Develops initiatives to provide state-of-the-art, patient centered resources. • Works collaboratively with other staff members to effectively guide families in utilizing the center while emphasizing a team approach to treatment, training, evaluation, and follow-up. • Develops and executes mentoring programs that foster collaborative and meaningful relationships between past and current patients and their families. • Collaborates with departmental liaison in the development of content for newsletters, donor appeals, direct mail campaigns, websites, e-mails, blogs, online postings, and other publications. • Maintains open and regular communication with department leadership in all areas related to center activity, operational plans, and budgetary expenditures. • Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures. • Ensures employees are trained on controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

Department Specific Functions:

Strategic Program Leadership: • Provides administrative and operational leadership for the School Health Initiative, including school-based health centers, telehealth services, integrated behavioral health programs, and other community-based health initiatives. • Develops and implements strategic initiatives that support program growth, sustainability, quality improvement, and operational excellence. • Collaborates with departmental leadership to align program goals with organizational priorities and community needs.

Program Operations & Administration: • Directs operational activities across multiple school-based clinical sites to ensure efficient, high-quality, and compliant service delivery. • Oversees implementation of operational workflows, processes, and systems that support continuity of services and achievement of program objectives. • Monitors operational performance and recommends improvements to enhance effectiveness and efficiency.

Contract & Funder Management: • Oversees fulfillment of contractual obligations and program deliverables for The Children’s Trust, Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation, school district partners, and other funding agencies. • Ensures timely preparation, review, and submission of required reports, performance measures, quality indicators, and program outcomes. • Maintains compliance with grant, contract, and regulatory requirements.

Screening & Population Health Programs: • Provides oversight of school-based screening initiatives, preventive health programs, and population health activities to ensure completion, quality, and compliance with established timelines and requirements. • Monitors screening performance, data quality, and program outcomes to support continuous improvement and reporting requirements.

Financial & Resource Management: • Assists with development and management of program budgets, resource allocation, operational expenditures, and sustainability initiatives. • Monitors utilization of equipment, technology, and operational resources to maximize efficiency and support program objectives. • Identifies resource needs and collaborates with leadership to support program growth and operational success.

Program Coordination & Workforce Support: • Coordinates operational activities across multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective implementation of program objectives and continuity of services. • Collaborates with clinical, administrative, school, and community partners to address operational challenges and support program goals. • Supports onboarding, training, and orientation activities related to operational workflows, reporting requirements, compliance standards, and program procedures. • Facilitates communication among stakeholders to promote accountability, consistency, and effective program execution.

Technology, Data Systems & Infrastructure: • Oversees implementation and optimization of program technology, telehealth systems, reporting platforms, and operational infrastructure. • Collaborates with Information Technology and operational support teams to resolve system issues and improve program functionality. • Ensures operational readiness of equipment and technology necessary to support clinical services and reporting requirements.

Quality Improvement & Compliance: • Leads operational quality improvement initiatives and performance monitoring activities across all program sites. • Utilizes dashboards, operational metrics, audits, and stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions. • Coordinates site
