WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO • Provide transactional legal support to Live Nation affiliated management, artist development and production companies
• Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including but not limited to, personal management agreements and related documents (e.g., term extensions, termination agreements, co-management agreements), non-disclosure agreements, consulting/independent contractor agreements, vendor/service provider agreements, collaboration agreements, talent agreements, license agreements, venue agreements, clearance agreements, and sponsorship agreements
• Advise and provide timely advice and guidance on business and legal matters to the affiliated companies
• Communicate and interact with affiliated companies and third-party attorneys to negotiate and finalize contracts
• Assist with updating internal contract templates
• Manage contract process and provide regular status updates to internal team members and affiliated companies
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING • Minimum of 5 years working as a lawyer with a major law firm and/or in-housel legal department with at least 3 years of relevant experience negotiating and drafting a variety of music and entertainment legal transactions and agreements
• Required experience related to artist management, concert promotion and/or live events
• J.D. and membership in the California Bar in good standing, or eligible to register as in-house counsel with the California Bar
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, sound business judgment and the ability to handle multiple projects at one time
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Desire to partner with business clients to provide practical solutions
• Proficiency in document review, editing and redlining
• Strong interpersonal skills including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of business operations
• High level of personal integrity and professional ethics
