Position Overview: You will lead the design, development, and validation of Polaris Powersports vehicle systems and components from concept through production. In this role, you will establish requirements and specifications, collaborate with program architects, product management, suppliers, and cross-functional engineering teams, and ensure solutions meet performance, quality, cost, and timing objectives. You will own subsystem development activities throughout the product development lifecycle, including design, validation, manufacturing support, and production implementation. Key Responsibilities: • Create and maintain subsystem and component requirements, specifications, DFMEAs, and DVP&Rs. • Design and develop components, mechanisms, and assemblies that meet safety, quality, timing, and cost objectives. • Lead supplier reviews and collaborate on the development and continuous improvement of new and existing products. • Own and manage subsystem development plans from concept through purchasing, manufacturing, and production release. • Support validation activities and manufacturing strategies for subsystem variants throughout the product lifecycle. • Evaluate and recommend manufacturing methods that optimize design performance, quality, and cost objectives. • Collaborate with engineers, designers, suppliers, and cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement product solutions. • Create engineering drawings and ensure timely completion and release of design documentation. • Lead and participate in design reviews to ensure technical alignment and successful project execution. • Analyze field issues, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions and countermeasures. • Develop and improve virtual product development methods and laboratory testing capabilities. • Partner with quality and manufacturing teams to improve production processes and product quality. • Identify and advocate for innovative technologies, supplier partnerships, and product solutions that support future business objectives.

Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. • Minimum of 2 years of design engineering experience. • Understanding of manufacturing processes including stamping, injection molding, extrusions, weldments, and mechanical systems. • Proven track record of leading product designs from concept through production. • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate vehicles for development and testing purposes. • Proficiency with 3D CAD software; Creo experience is strongly preferred. • Experience using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools is preferred. • Experience with PTC Windchill Product Lifecycle Management software is strongly preferred. • Working knowledge of GD&T, FMEA, dimensional tolerance stack-up analysis, and fit-and-finish evaluation. • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide technical leadership when needed. • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint. • Ability to work with and travel to domestic and international technology partners. • This position is not eligible for sponsorship. #LI-CS99
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $76,000 to $100,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
