Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Principal Deployable Network Communications/ Deployable Network Communications professional to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Product Support organization. This role is located at Edwards AFB, CA.
This position may be filled at either the Principal Deployable Network Communication or Deployable Network Communications Accomplish Your duties include: • Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
• Maintains technical expertise in all areas of networks and computer hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as routers, multiplexers, firewalls, hubs, bridges, gateways, etc.
• May propose solutions to management to ensure all communications requirements based on future needs and current usage, configuring such solutions to optimize cost savings.
• Prepares or ensures that appropriate network documentation exists, including operational instructions.
• Provides regular monitoring and network analysis regarding short- and long-range planning for in-house systems.
• May coordinate third-party maintenance for network equipment.
• May design network or portion of network that include selection of hardware and software packages.

Basic Qualifications: Principal Network Communications • Bachelor’s of Science degree and 5 years of relevant Network Communications experience OR 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree; or Master's of Science Degree and 3 years relevant Network Communications experience.
• Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days- a-week, and 365 days a year.
• Must be able to meet medical requirements and pass a physical for worldwide travel.
• Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.
• Must have the ability to accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 90 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.
• Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.
• Must have or be able to obtain a Security Plus (Sec+) Certification within 6 months of hire.
• Must have the ability to complete training and receive initial qualification within 180 days and complete full qualification within 365 days as set out by department training team as a condition of maintaining employment
