The Work Your primary focus will be to ensure the system’s security and compliance with departmental policies and government regulations by coordinating with multiple stakeholder offices and contract teams, both internal to the department and across the government. You will be expected to support data calls, audits, and taskers related to the system’s security posture, leveraging your expertise in MOUs, ISAs, NIST security controls, and the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process.
As a member of the system cybersecurity team, you will provide governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) support for a complex federal information system. You will regularly engage with and collaborate with clients, external teams, and vendors throughout the department to ensure the system remains compliant with all federal and agency requirements.
Key Responsibilities: • Coordinate cybersecurity compliance activities across internal offices and external government stakeholders • Support data calls, audits, reviews, and departmental taskers related to cybersecurity posture • Apply expertise in MOUs, ISAs, NIST security controls, and A&A documentation • Support system accreditation activities and maintain ATO status • Collaborate with clients, partners, and contract teams to manage risk and enforce compliance requirements • Provide continuous monitoring support and assist with security control assessments • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality outputs • Develop clear, concise, and accurate security documentation
Here’s what you need: • 3+ years of experience with multiple phases of Information Assurance and cybersecurity accreditation processes • Experience securing IT systems and services using Government and industry IA standards, policies, guidelines, and best practices • Demonstrated success managing information security risks, including navigating the full A&A process • Direct experience supporting the steps required to achieve and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO) for a complex system • In-depth knowledge of NIST SP 800‑53 (rev4 and 5) and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) • Experience working with security controls and implementing/validating them • Understanding of and experience with Continuous Monitoring requirements and processes • Ability to work independently and proactively with minimal supervision • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to have: • CISSP, Security+, or comparable cybersecurity certifications • Experience with encryption devices and procedures, specifically those related to data‑at‑rest protections
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is: $78,600 — $160,200 USD
