Job Description The Equipment Finance Credit Analyst 4 is responsible for day‑to‑day commercial credit underwriting activities, including reviewing credit applications, analyzing credit reports and financial information, and preparing credit recommendations to support lending decisions. The role supports a diverse range of business lines and collateral types, including office equipment, healthcare equipment, and commercial auto financing.
Key Responsibilities Credit Underwriting • Review and analyze commercial credit applications and credit reports • Perform in‑depth credit analysis and prepare written credit summaries and recommendations for credit approvers • Underwrite application‑only transactions with exposure limits up to $1,000,000
Research & Analysis • Research businesses seeking credit and evaluate creditworthiness • Analyze credit reports, limited financial information, and third‑party data • Utilize tools such as Dun & Bradstreet and PayNet to support underwriting decisions
Internal Collaboration • Correspond regularly with internal sales teams regarding credit applications and decisions • Provide clear, well‑documented credit rationale to support decision‑making • Interact occasionally with third‑party vendors; role is not customer‑facing
Reporting & Tools • Use Excel to complete underwriting write‑ups using established templates • Maintain accurate and consistent credit documentation
Basic qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience • Typically four or more years of relevant experience
Preferred skills/experience: • Strong credit analysis and analytical skills • Thorough knowledge of credit analysis, credit administration, credit policy and procedures, and risk analysis • Background in economics, accounting, and/or finance • Effective technical report writing skills • Effective verbal and written communication skills • Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Location expectations This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week in Marshall, MN.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $70,890.00 - $83,400.00
