Healing Care Animal Hospital Position Overview Healing Care Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate, skilled, and team-oriented Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) to join our growing team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality medical care to our patients while supporting veterinarians and ensuring a positive experience for clients. The ideal candidate is clinically proficient, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. We are looking for someone who is passionate about patient care, values teamwork, and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Clinical Support • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and assisting with treatments • Safely restrain animals for examinations and procedures • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostic testing • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures • Assist veterinarians during exams, surgeries, and dental procedures • Maintain accurate and thorough medical records

Client Communication & Education • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients regarding treatment plans, procedures, and at-home care instructions • Provide education on preventative care, medications, and post-operative care • Support client understanding of recommended diagnostics and treatments

Hospital Operations • Maintain cleanliness and organization of treatment areas, exam rooms, and surgical suites • Ensure proper handling, maintenance, and sterilization of equipment • Assist with inventory management, including stocking and monitoring medical supplies • Support efficient patient flow and teamwork across departments

Compliance & Safety • Adhere to all hospital protocols, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements • Ensure proper handling and disposal of medical waste • Maintain a safe and low-stress environment for patients and team members •

Qualifications • Active Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) credential in the state of Michigan (or ability to obtain) • Graduate of an accredited veterinary technology program • Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply • Proficiency in anesthesia monitoring, patient care, laboratory and dentistry • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment • Commitment to high standards of patient care and client service
