As a valued member of the Applicant Services team within Admissions Services, this position is responsible for the evaluation of international applicants, applicants with international credentials and applicants with US credentials to Arizona State University. This position is also responsible for processing I-20 documentation for F1 Visas. We will provide comprehensive training. Prior experience with international credential evaluation and/or I-20 processing is not required but preferred.

Essential Duties: • Analyze and authenticate international academic records to determine institutional recognition, accreditation status, and comparability within the U.S. education system.

• Conduct course-by-course evaluations including credit conversion to U.S. semester units and calculation of cumulative grade point averages (GPA).

• Research international educational systems, grading scales, credential frameworks, and institutional recognition using authoritative sources (AACRAO, NAFSA, government education ministries, etc.).

• Document evaluation methodologies and maintain reference materials to ensure consistency and accuracy across credential evaluation staff.

• Review and evaluate immigration-related documentation to determine eligibility for issuance of Form I-20 in compliance with federal regulations governing F-1 student visas.

• Collaborate with admissions counselors, enrollment management leadership, and operational staff to support institutional enrollment objectives for undergraduate applicants, including international applicants and those presenting international credentials.

• Utilize enterprise systems including PeopleSoft and Salesforce CRM platforms to manage applicant records and support admissions processing workflows.

• Manage international student immigration documentation and processing through SUNAPSIS and AppXtender in support of I-20 issuance and compliance with SEVIS reporting requirements.

• Maintain accurate applicant records, evaluation notes, and documentation in accordance with federal regulations, including FERPA compliance.

• Generate reports and analyze student data using institutional systems and technology tools to support operational needs and decision-making.

• Provide administrative, operational, and technical support related to credential evaluation and admissions processing.

• Communicate with applicants, students, faculty, and campus departments regarding admissions requirements, credential evaluation outcomes, and international student documentation.

• Support students and colleagues from varied cultural and educational backgrounds in a service-oriented environment.

• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and training sessions as assigned.

• Work collaboratively with team members and cross-departmental staff.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the mission and goals of the admissions office and university.

Desired Qualifications: • Experience evaluating international academic credentials and applying recognized credential evaluation methodologies.

• Knowledge of international education systems, grading scales, and institutional recognition.

• Familiarity with federal regulations for international students (SEVIS, F-1 visa requirements).

• Experience with admissions policies, procedures, and enrollment management practices.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
