Job Description Corporate Banking Portfolio Management Team Lead (PMTL) provides leadership and oversight to a high-performing team of Portfolio Managers and a Credit Analyst for the Asset Based Finance (ABF) team. This leader is responsible for a large portfolio of very active clients, which includes routinely assessing complex loan requests, working closely with the team to ensure that our customers are appropriately risk rated and managed, and developing relationships with highly-valued clients in ABF as well as Relationship Managers, Risk Management and other key internal partners. The PMTL has overall responsibility for ensuring all credit processes are performed at a high level, including the timely completion of credit requests, past due management, credit quality goals, problem credit management and compliance.

Job Description: • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Portfolio Managers and a Credit Analyst within the Asset Based Finance (ABF) business. • Manage a large portfolio of complex commercial lending relationships, ensuring effective risk management and strong portfolio performance. • Provide coaching, performance management, and professional development opportunities to enhance team effectiveness and succession planning. • Demonstrate strong leadership, communication, and relationship-management skills while working effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. • Review and assess complex credit requests, loan modifications, renewals, and other financing transactions to support client needs while maintaining sound credit quality. • Oversee portfolio risk ratings, credit monitoring activities, and problem credit management to ensure customers are appropriately managed and risk is accurately assessed. • Ensure the timely completion of all credit processes, including annual reviews, credit approvals, past-due management, and portfolio reporting. • Maintain compliance with bank policies, regulatory requirements, CRA obligations, and Portfolio Risk Management standards. • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, serving as a trusted advisor and escalation point for credit-related matters. • Partner closely with Relationship Managers, Underwriting, Risk Management, Operations, Legal, Compliance, and senior leadership to support strategic business objectives. • Communicate credit concerns, portfolio trends, and risk exposures effectively to all levels of management. • Lead discussions regarding complex credit structures and develop solutions that balance client needs with the bank's risk appetite. • Review, negotiate, and coordinate loan documentation with customers, legal counsel, and internal business partners. • Drive operational excellence by identifying process improvements and implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and service quality. • Foster collaboration across multiple business lines and support functions to ensure seamless execution of credit and portfolio management activities. • Monitor portfolio performance metrics and ensure achievement of credit quality, service level, and risk management goals.

Basic Qualifications: • Significant experience in Asset Based Lending is Required

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in finance, accounting or other related field • 10 or more years of banking experience • Five or more years of management experience • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management • Ability to be collaborative as we work closely with several business partners throughout the Bank

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
