Corporate Affairs, Director, Global Customer Capabilities & Innovation
What you will do Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will lead strategic communications for a global organization focused on advancing customer capabilities, connecting data and technology, innovation, and enterprise transformation. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Corporate Affairs, Global Markets & Policy, this leader will develop and execute integrated communication strategies that elevate GCCI's impact, strengthen stakeholder engagement, and drive adoption of innovative capabilities across Global Markets. The role serves as a key communications partner to GCCI leadership, helping articulate vision, demonstrate business value, and build understanding of how customer-centric capabilities, analytics, technology, and innovation enable stronger brand strategy and more impactful customer engagement worldwide. The Director will work across a highly matrixed global environment to communicate priorities, showcase impact, and support organizational transformation.
Responsibilities: • Develop and execute communication strategies to drive awareness and adoption of global customer capabilities.
• Partner with senior leaders to translate business priorities into clear, compelling communications.
• Create executive messaging, organizational updates, and change management communications.
• Highlight success stories and best practices that demonstrate business impact.
• Drive stakeholder engagement and alignment across capability-building initiatives.
• Lead communications for innovation, technology, data transformation, and new ways of working.
• Develop narratives linking innovation investments to customer and commercial outcomes.
• Launch campaigns that promote experimentation, knowledge sharing, and solution adoption.
• Partner across business, analytics, technology, and capability teams to communicate strategic priorities and milestones.
• Measure communication effectiveness and optimize engagement strategies.
• Align GCCI communications with broader Global Markets & Policy objectives.
• Develop integrated communication plans aligned with enterprise and organizational goals.
• Support executive visibility, thought leadership, and key stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure consistent messaging across regions and functions through global collaboration.
• Elevate organizational achievements internally and externally, as appropriate.
• Serve as a trusted communications advisor to senior leaders on change and transformation initiatives.
• Influence and build alignment across highly matrixed global teams.
• Foster collaboration across communications, business, technology, analytics, policy, and market teams.
• Manage external agency/vendor partnerships and communications resources.

Basic Qualifications: Doctorate degree and 4 years of strategic communications, corporate affairs, public affairs, change communications, or related experience. OR Master’s degree and 7 years of strategic communications, corporate affairs, public affairs, change communications, or related experience. OR Bachelor’s degree and 9 years of strategic communications, corporate affairs, public affairs, change communications, or related experience.
Preferred Qualifications: • 10+ years of strategic communications, corporate affairs, public affairs, change communications, or related experience.
• Experience supporting global commercial, technology/innovation, or transformation communications initiatives.
• Strong executive communications, leadership visibility, and storytelling capabilities.
• Demonstrated success leading complex, enterprise-wide communication programs, both internally and externally.
• Experience driving communications that support organizational change and capability adoption.
• Ability to operate successfully in a global, matrixed organization.
• Understanding of a highly regulated industry, ideally pharmaceuticals, biotechnology or healthcare.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects from strategy through execution with minimal oversight.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to align communications strategies to business priorities.
• Experience developing strategic communications plans and simplifying complex topics into compelling narratives.
• Proactive, self-driven leader who anticipates needs and drives results.
• Demonstrated success influencing and building relationships across matrixed organizations.
• Intellectual curiosity and adaptability to learn new business areas, technologies, and communications approaches
