About this role
Job Description: MKTG Sports + Entertainment is looking for a Coordinator, Hospitality & Events to support the planning and execution of hospitality and event programs for leading brands. This role will assist with a variety of programs, including corporate hospitality, client entertainment, large-scale sports and entertainment events and/or corporate meetings.
This is a great opportunity for an early-career professional who is organized, proactive and excited to grow within the hospitality and events industry. The Coordinator will support program logistics, vendor coordination, guest communications, event materials and onsite execution while collaborating closely with internal teams and external partners.
Responsibilities · Support the planning and execution of corporate hospitality, consumer experiences, meetings, and sports and entertainment events · Coordinate assigned event logistics, including registration, accommodations, transportation, food and beverage, gifting and onsite experiences · Maintain project timelines, workback schedules, checklists and other planning documents while communicating progress and potential challenges to the team · Participate in internal, client and vendor meetings; prepare agendas, capture notes and distribute action items · Manage program storage units and coordinate the receipt and shipment of large-scale materials domestically and internationally, including frequent trips between facilities to oversee inventory and logistics · Coordinate with venues, hotels, vendors and suppliers to gather information, confirm details and support successful execution · Research venues, vendors and industry trends and contribute ideas that support client objectives and enhance the guest experience · Draft event itineraries, guest communications, presentations, staffing plans and post-event recaps for internal review · Coordinate event branding, collateral, signage and onsite materials, including tracking production and delivery timelines · Support program budgets by tracking expenses, processing invoices, coordinating vendor payments and maintaining accurate financial documentation · Provide onsite support, including guest services, vendor coordination, event setup and breakdown, and basic troubleshooting · Assist with post-event reporting by gathering feedback, documenting outcomes and contributing observations to support future improvements · Respond to client and vendor requests professionally and collaborate across teams to meet project deadlines.
Qualifications · Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, marketing, communications, business or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience · 1–2 years of relevant experience in events, hospitality, experiential marketing, sports or entertainment; relevant internship experience may be considered · Previous agency, venue, hotel, event-production or hospitality experience is a plus · Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to balance multiple assignments and deadlines · Excellent attention to detail when managing inventory and packing, labeling, tracking and preparing event materials for shipment · Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, vendors and event partners · Proactive, resourceful and solutions-oriented, with a willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed · Comfortable supporting budgets, invoices and other financial documentation · Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with event-registration or project-management platforms is a plus · Willingness to travel and work nontraditional hours, including occasional evenings and weekends · Comfortable assisting with physical event setup and breakdown when needed
The annual base salary for this position is $42,993 . Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law . Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
