You'll provide collaborative pharmaceutical care to patients while working in conjunction with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals. In addition, you will have a chance to showcase your clinical skills by developing and conducting drug utilization reviews, recommending and/or implementing programs for improving pharmacy resource management to the extent that they will bring about more efficient, safer, or more economical use of drugs. You will have a chance to assist and educate pharmacists, as well as both post-graduate year 1 & 2 residents. While assisting with the pharmacy’s quality assurance activities, you’ll have a direct hand in ensuring compliance with both patient care and medical practice standards. You will also assist in the coordination of the department’s in-service trainings and employee/student education functions, ensuring the maintenance of the staff’s skill/education levels.   This is a full time Clinical Pharmacy Coordinator (Pediatrics) day shift position Monday-Friday with clinical on-call responsibilities located at NYP/Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.   Preferred Criteria: • Postgraduate year 2 ASHP-accredited pharmacy residency (Pediatrics). • Board of Pharmacy Specialty (BPS) Certification. • One to three years of previous experience as a Clinical Pharmacist.

  Required Criteria: • Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy or PharmD. • New York State licensed and Registered Pharmacist or eligibility for licensure required as a Pharmacist by the State of New York within 3 months of employment. • ASHP-accredited Post-Graduate Year One Residency completion. • Knowledge in specialty area (Pediatrics) • Strong interpersonal communication skills • Ability to use software programs for word processing and data management

$157,000-$193,000/Annual
