About the Role

Dandy is hiring an experienced Controls Technician to join our rapidly growing venture-backed company. In this role, you’ll oversee the maintenance and functionality of automation equipment controls and other controls systems as needed. This is an opportunity to work with custom, cutting-edge automation technology in a manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

- Work with automation engineers to create and implement programs and processes to optimize equipment efficiency

- Manage and perform equipment calibration, repairs, preventive maintenance, and testing

- Perform basic programming and installation of new and existing software required for equipment operations

- Work within the SCADA system, look for opportunities for continuous improvement

What We're Looking For

- 1+ yrs of experience as a controls technician/engineer

- Hiring for 12 hr. shifts: Night shift (6pm-6am Sunday-Tues Rotating Shift) and Day Shift (6 am - 6pm Wed - Sat Rotating Shift)

- Experience troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Proficiency with hand and precision tools and computer usage.

- Ability to clearly communicate about technical concepts. Comfortable working in a fast pace, rapidly changing environment.

- Understanding of basic safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and Lockout/Tagout procedures

- Ability to lift 50+ pounds, work within a confined space, climb ladders, and perform other physical tasks for multiple hours/day

- Ability to work occasional overtime/weekends as needed to support production goals and equipment shutdowns

- A self-driven individual with a desire and ability to work under minimal supervision

- A curious mind with a need to “get to the bottom” of issues and improvement opportunities

- Demonstrated proficiency in speaking, reading, writing, and understanding the English language

Bonus Points For

- Experience with Siemens controls

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering

- Manufacturing experience, preferably in a maintenance or controls role
