Overall Purpose

Early Warning Services has powered and protected the U.S. financial system for over thirty years. The Consultant, Operational Excellence supports operational excellence and organizational efficiency initiatives focused on optimizing cross-functional processes to align with strategic goals and deliver measurable business outcomes. This role requires strong ownership, structured problem-solving, and the ability to independently support workstreams and execution across complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Essential Functions

• Supports the execution of process efficiency and optimization initiatives within assigned business domains, following established priorities and guidance • Conducts process assessments and facilitates stakeholder workshops to document current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement. • Supports execution of operational excellence and transformation initiatives by coordinating assigned workstreams, analyses, deliverables, and implementation activities. • Supports the development of process improvement recommendations, future-state process designs, and optimization opportunities aligned to business objectives. • Works with leaders, managers, and cross-functional stakeholders to support the translation of strategic priorities into actionable process improvements. • Collects, tracks, and analyzes key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process effectiveness, efficiency improvements, and initiative outcomes. • Assists with the identification and implementation of automation, AI, and digital solutions by gathering requirements, documenting use cases, and supporting testing and rollout activities. • Develops data-driven analyses, executive-ready presentations, and recommendations using clear, structured narratives and logical problem-solving approaches to support leadership decision-making. • Supports change management activities for assigned initiatives, including stakeholder communications, training materials, and adoption tracking. • Ensures compliance, risk, and scalability considerations are reflected in process documentation and redesign efforts, in coordination with risk, legal, and control partners.

Minimum Qualifications • At least 3-5 years of experience in management consulting, business process improvement, operational excellence, or internal consulting within financial services • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field / degree • Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives with measurable impact • Strong executive communication and presentation development skills, including ability to structure clear, concise, executive-ready materials • Self-starter who thrives and can multitask in fast-paced and often ambiguous environments • Knowledge of process improvement frameworks (e.g., DMAIC, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) • Background in change management and executive stakeholder management • Exceptional communication, influencing, and negotiation skills • Background and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications • 2+ years of prior experience at a management consulting firm (MBB, Big 4, or similar) • Experience in payments, risk insights, digital identity, banking, or fintech space. • Strong analytical skills, PowerPoint fluency • Experience in Financial Services and the payment ecosystem • Strong data-driven decision-making skills, with proficiency in BI tools and advanced analytics • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt certification

Physical Requirements

Working conditions consist of a normal office environment. Work is primarily sedentary and requires extensive use of a computer and involves sitting for periods of approximately four hours. Work may require occasional standing, walking, kneeling and reaching. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently. Requires visual acuity and dexterity to view, prepare, and manipulate documents and office equipment including personal computers. Requires the ability to communicate with internal and/or external customers. Employee must be able to perform essential functions and physical requirements of position with or without reasonable accommodation.   The base pay scale for this position in: New York, NY/ San Francisco, CA in USD per year is: $125,000 - $156,000. Additionally, candidates are eligible for a discretionary incentive plan and benefits.
