As a Community Support Specialist, you'll serve as a mentor, advocate, coach, and trusted support person for adults in recovery. Key Responsibilities: • Deliver recovery-focused support services that help individuals achieve treatment goals and improve daily functioning • Build trusting relationships that encourage engagement, resilience, self-advocacy, and long-term success • Support individuals in developing healthy coping strategies, problem-solving skills, and independent living skills • Utilize behavioral interventions and evidence-based approaches, including motivational interviewing and recovery-oriented practices • Assist clients in accessing community resources, healthcare services, employment supports, educational opportunities, and other needed services • Collaborate with treatment teams to identify client needs, develop service plans, and support coordinated care • Respond appropriately to crisis situations while providing support and intervention within the scope of training • Conduct outreach, engagement, and follow-up activities to promote continuity of care and ongoing participation in services • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of services, contacts, and client progress • Monitor progress toward treatment goals and communicate relevant observations and recommendations to treatment team members • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, professional development opportunities, and quality improvement activities • Represent the organization professionally while fostering positive relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and community partners

Please scroll down carefully for more information: • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields of study: Psychology, Social Work, Sociology, Education, Criminal Justice, Family Studies, Counseling, Recreational Therapy, Human Services, Human Development, Child Development, Gerontology, Behavioral Science, Rehabilitation Counseling
OR... • Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree from an approved institution
OR.... • Work experience in a related human services field may substitute for educational requirements. *Related fields may include direct support such as case management, residential support, developmentally disabled support, vocational rehabilitation, and more. Four years of qualifying experience minimum or a combination of education and experience equaling four years required.

• Qualified Addictions Professional (QAP) CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, RADC-P, RADC, CCDP, CCDP-D
Additional Qualifications: • Current driver's license, reliable transportation, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance required • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to establish positive working relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds • Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team • Strong organizational, documentation, and time-management skills • Flexibility and adaptability
