About this role

The  Commercial Banking  team actively calls on businesses that typically have annual revenue between $50MM and $500MM.  The team includes relationship managers, treasury management officers and others that provide a suite of products and services that serve companies of this size.   The objective of the group is earn the title of trusted advisor and help these companies grow and prosper in our community.  

As the  Sr. Relationship Manager  you will be responsible for increasing the Bank’s profitability by cultivating new commercial relationships and the expansion/retention of existing relationships.    In this role you must utilize your credit acumen and be knowledgeable in non-credit products such as treasury management, virtual card, trust, etc.  Successful candidates for this role will be resilient, agile, accountable and driven.  

How you’ll spend your time:   • Build your own commercial loan portfolio by prospecting for new Commercial & Industrial business.  

• Engage and lead other team members to determine what other products and services the client might benefit from.   

• Collaborate with commercial clients to better understand their business and financial needs.     

• Analyze the business in order to qualify clients for bank products and services.    

   We’re excited to talk to you if:     • You have 5 years sales experience with 2 years in Commercial Bank Sales.   

• You hold a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field.  

• You are curious and want to know how companies work and what helps them remain successful in their respective industries.  

• You have demonstrated knowledge of credit, bank products, services, underwriting and bank operations.   

----- As the  Relationship Manager II,  you will be responsible for developing new commercial business, while maintaining a portfolio.  While loan product is important, cross selling with current and prospective clients is a key element of this role. 

How you’ll spend your time:   • Serves a conduit for all product lines and matches client needs with appropriate products. 

• Grows revenue as directed by senior management by successfully prospecting new business and making appropriate referrals. 

• Maintains portfolio by calling on existing customers to expand existing business, ensure excellent client relations & proper servicing of account(s). 

• Manage loan & portfolio credit quality. 

• Negotiate credit arrangements and prepare credit memoranda and supporting documentation for presentation to the loan committee. 

• Other duties as assigned. 

   We’re excited to talk to you if:     • You possess a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related field. 

• You have 2 years' sales experience. 

• You have demonstrated intermediate knowledge of credit. 

• You have demonstrated knowledge of bank products, services, and bank operations. 

• You have demonstrated ability to be self-starter and show initiative. 

• You have demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal & written). 

• You have demonstrated proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. 

• You have an intermediate level of understanding of credit underwriting. 

• You have demonstrated ability to manage time effectively to balance new & existing relationships to meet goals. 

Bonus points if:   • You have 2 years commercial sales experience. 

• You have the ability to prospect and network at various levels within a company.
