** This is a hybrid-based position at one of Collins’ major facilities. **

What YOU will do: • Lead functional domain architecture for Finance and HR platforms, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards, security requirements, long‑term strategy, and Collins/RTX architecture direction.

• Create and maintain architecture artifacts including system designs, integration diagrams, data models, capability views, process flows, design patterns, and blueprints.

• Build and maintain the functional architectural runway, defining sequencing, dependencies, and future-state design needs tied to business strategy.

• Develop contextual, conceptual, logical, and physical architecture models using approved frameworks; prepare governance review materials.

• Provide leadership and guidance across the solution lifecycle, including translation requirements, architectural direction, technical validations, and integration support.

• Conduct trade studies, evaluate alternatives, support vendor evaluations, and drive technology selection aligned with architecture principles and business goals.

• Deliver architecture content required for REPM Gates A–F, including DAR1/DAR2 artifacts, information flows, system/component diagrams, solution‑services diagrams, and design assessments.

• Support compliance and cybersecurity deliverables including CIA analyses, ATO documentation, CLARA architecture artifacts, and technical‑debt risk assessments.

• Collaborate closely with BRMs, Service Owners, Enterprise Architecture, PMO,

• Cybersecurity, vendors, and cross‑functional teams to ensure secure, feasible, strategically aligned solutions.

• Actively participate in Collins and RTX governance forums, architecture review boards (BU and RTX), and publish artifacts to corresponding repositories.

• Contribute to Annual Operating Plans (AOP) and Long Range Plans (LRP) with architectural insights and portfolio health visibility

• Mentor architects and DT talent to build enterprise strategic mindset and strengthen the

• Business Systems & Transformation architecture community.

What You Will Learn: • Deeper understanding of Collins Aerospace Finance and HR business strategy, operational goals, and cross-functional processes.

• Broader exposure to RTX enterprise architecture methodologies, governance frameworks, and digital transformation programs.

• Emerging technology trends relevant to Finance and HR architectures including automation, analytics, AI/ML enablement, data modernization, integration platforms, and cloud-native solutions.

• Strategic planning and execution within a complex aerospace environment, including alignment to RTX-wide digital technology objectives.

Qualifications YOU Must Have: • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience.

• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

• Demonstrated mastery-level knowledge of Finance and/or HR application ecosystems (e.g., SAP, Workday, AutoTime, integration platforms, workflow automation tools).

• Significant experience designing and implementing enterprise application architectures, standards, or operational plans with measurable organizational impact.

• Proven experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives and solving broad, difficult issues involving multiple business domains.

• Ability to communicate architectural concepts and recommendations effectively with senior leadership and executive stakeholders.

• Strong understanding of industry best practices for system integrations, data governance, security, and cloud-based architecture.

Qualifications We Prefer: • Experience with RTX or Collins Aerospace digital platforms, integration patterns, and enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Prior work implementing Finance and HR transformations (e.g., SAP ECC, SAP S/4,

• Workday, data modernization efforts).

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries.

• Experience conducting trade studies, vendor evaluations, and creating decision‑making frameworks.

• Architecture certifications (TOGAF, AWS/Azure architecture)

• Demonstrated ability to drive adoption of new standards and influence organizational technology strategies.

• Ability to mentor, coach, and develop future architects.
