As a Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist, you will provide individual therapy, group therapy, educational services, and family interventions for individuals experiencing persistent mental health disorders, substance use disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Through evidence-based treatment, interdisciplinary collaboration, assertive outreach, and comprehensive care planning, you will help individuals build recovery skills, improve functioning, and achieve greater stability in their lives. Key Responsibilities: · Provide individual, group, and family therapy services for individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders · Conduct co-occurring assessments and assist in developing individualized treatment plans that support recovery goals · Deliver educational services and therapeutic interventions designed to improve coping skills, recovery outcomes, and overall wellness · Build trusting therapeutic relationships through assertive outreach, engagement strategies, and person-centered support · Collaborate with treatment team members to identify treatment goals, coordinate services, and ensure continuity of care · Maintain an active caseload while providing high-quality clinical services and ongoing client support · Connect individuals with community resources and supportive services that address identified needs and barriers to recovery · Participate in crisis intervention and emergency services to provide rapid support during emotional or behavioral health crises · Provide guidance and cross-training to team members regarding co-occurring disorder treatment and best practices · Adhere to DMH requirements, ITCD fidelity standards, organizational policies, and professional ethical standards · Participate in treatment team meetings, staff meetings, quality improvement activities, and professional development opportunities · Maintain timely, accurate documentation and clinical records in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements · Perform additional duties as assigned to support program operations and client success

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: · Must be a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) with at least one year of training or supervised experience in substance use treatment OR · Must be a Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) with one of the following credentials: CADC, CRADC, CRAADC, CCJP, CCDP-D, RADC, or RADC-P · Experience providing therapy and treatment services to individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred · Knowledge of integrated treatment approaches, recovery-oriented care, and behavioral health best practices preferred · Experience facilitating individual and group therapy sessions preferred · Ability to effectively engage individuals with complex behavioral health needs and support long-term recovery goals

Additional Qualifications: · Must possess a valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation · Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to complete accurate clinical documentation · Ability to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with clients, families, referral sources, and team members · Ability to provide services in a variety of community and office-based settings · Ability to exercise sound judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills in a clinical environment · Ability to follow supervision, organizational policies, and professional standards of practice · Must successfully complete background screenings, including criminal, driving, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks

Physical Requirements · Perform sedentary work requiring exertion of up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and negligible force frequently · Sit for extended periods while providing services, completing documentation, and attending meetings · Occasionally walk and stand while conducting client services and participating in program activities · Perform repetitive hand, finger, and arm movements associated with typing, writing, and electronic documentation · Lift, carry, push, or pull light objects as necessary to perform essential job functions · Utilize computers, office equipment, and electronic health record systems throughout the workday
