The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing clinical and operational oversight for a behavioral health program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, client-centered services. This role oversees clinical service provision, supports and develops team members, coordinates care with community partners, monitors compliance and quality standards, and assists with program planning, budgeting, and performance improvement initiatives. The Clinical Supervisor serves as a leader, mentor, and resource for staff while promoting positive outcomes for clients and families.

Key Responsibilities: • Lead and supervise the delivery of high-quality mental health and substance use disorder treatment services while ensuring positive client outcomes. • Provide clinical leadership through case staffing, treatment planning consultation, diagnostic review meetings, and ongoing support to clinical team members. • Conduct assessments, intakes, individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy services as needed to support program operations. • Mentor, train, coach, and evaluate team members while promoting professional growth and maintaining supervision records and individualized development plans. • Coordinate services with community agencies, referral sources, healthcare providers, and family members to ensure comprehensive client care. • Monitor service delivery, client engagement, documentation quality, and productivity standards to ensure clinical appropriateness and regulatory compliance. • Review client records and quality indicators to maintain accreditation, licensing, and organizational standards while implementing corrective actions as needed. • Develop and maintain program schedules that support client needs, service accessibility, and operational efficiency. • Assist with budget monitoring, fiscal planning, service utilization review, and resource management activities. • Ensure continuous program coverage through staffing coordination, scheduling, and approval of team member leave requests. • Respond to crisis situations, support incident management processes, and ensure appropriate follow-up and reporting. • Promote quality improvement initiatives, evaluate program performance, and implement strategies to enhance service effectiveness. • Maintain collaborative relationships with community partners and promote awareness of available services within the community. • Monitor environmental safety, facility conditions, vehicle usage, and operational readiness to support effective service delivery. • Support organizational goals, strategic initiatives, and other duties as assigned by leadership.

Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a closely related field and a minimum of three (3) years of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment, including at least one (1) year of supervisory experience; OR • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Psychiatric Nursing, or a closely related field and a minimum of four (4) years of professional experience in behavioral health or substance use disorder treatment, including at least two (2) years of supervisory experience. • Qualified Addiction Professional (QAP) certification through the Missouri Credentialing Board, Inc. or applicable state board with a minimum of four (4) years of professional substance use disorder treatment experience and three (3) years of supervisory experience; OR • Counselor, Psychologist, or Physician licensed in Missouri with at least one (1) year of professional experience in substance use disorder treatment and one (1) year of supervisory experience. • Qualified Mental Health Professional meeting one of the following criteria: • Physician licensed to practice medicine or osteopathy with training in mental health services. • Psychiatrist licensed under applicable state law. • Psychologist licensed under Missouri state law with specialized mental health training. • Professional Counselor licensed under applicable state law with specialized mental health training. • Clinical Social Worker with a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited program. • Individual with a Master's or Doctorate degree in Counseling, Behavioral Health Counseling, Vocational Counseling, Psychology, Pastoral Counseling, Family Therapy, or a related field who has completed a practicum or possesses at least one (1) year of supervised experience under a mental health professional.
