About this role
Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Child Life Shift: Third Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 32 Summary: The Emergency Department Child Life Specialist is responsible for providing essential life experiences, family support & education to patients and families in the health care system. The Child Life Specialist collaborates with other health care providers, as well as the community, to promote growth and development and facilitate positive adjustment for patients and families throughout the health care experience.
Qualifications: • Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Child Life, Child Development or a closely related field • Completion of Child Life Internship required • Certified Child Life Specialist, by exam, within one year of hire • American Heart Association Health Care Provider BLS is required within 60 days of hire
