Business Performance Improvement consultants help clients in the areas of finance, operations, people and change.  Our consultants work with Protiviti’s clients, who are typically among the world’s leading companies.  As a consultant, you collaborate with the team to deliver high-quality, client-focused solutions to complex business problems these organizations face.  Experience tells us that our future leaders need to be both knowledgeable and demonstrate depth in an area of expertise but also versatile, having a broad range of capabilities and skill sets to solve today’s complex business problems. Business Performance Improvement consultants will experience a variety of projects.  Each project experience is designed to fuel your curiosity, build capability, drive meaningful impact, and prepare you for the next career level. Consultants learn alongside experienced leaders and advisors to develop a strong understanding of business processes and build technical skills in general risk areas.  Consultants compile and analyze data and document findings and communicate insights that contribute impactfully to client engagements.  Through interaction with client and project team personnel, consultants develop professional relationships that are grounded in trust, supporting exceptional client service.  A successful consultant manages time and priorities effectively, takes ownership of assignments, and contributes impactfully to collective team results.   

With each project, you receive hands-on training in a supportive, high-performance environment and interact with leaders across our practice. Talent Managers will assign specific project experiences that support career growth, your skills, and the needs of the business. A network of advisors will help you navigate challenges and celebrate milestones.  There are opportunities to join committees, participate in employee network groups, enjoy social, civic, and networking activities to strengthen connections and build meaningful relationships across our firm and in the community. 

Business Performance Improvement consultants are hired into one of four different areas, including:

• Finance Performance Management: Provides custom solutions to help finance leaders address their current challenges and explore opportunities for continuous growth, delivering innovative solutions and supporting finance as a forward-thinking, strategic partner to the business. At the core, our methodology aligns people, processes, and technology to drive efficiency, productivity, and transformation, enabling change and creating value for the entire client organization.

• Financial Reporting Remediation & Compliance: Supports companies in navigating complex financial reporting situations to reduce their risk of non-compliance while limiting exposure to financial restatements and other costly non-routine situations such as restatements, mergers, and IPOs. Protiviti’s team proactively monitors new accounting rules, alerts clients to changing requirements, and assists with addressing complex accounting or reporting challenges.

• People & Change: Focuses on the human side of transformation by helping companies with the people, talent, and skills components of their business.  We assist organizations in developing differentiated employee experiences to better attract, retain, and engage talent.  We also help organizations enable sustained behavior changes to support large-scale initiatives.
