Job Summary In a collaborative manner, the Team Leader will provide support to the Medical Providers, Radiologic Technologist, and patients through a variety of tasks, including but not limited to patient care management, organization, and communication. JOB REQUIREMENTS   Required:    • High School Diploma or equivalent 

AND   • 1+ years of working experience as a Medical Assistant in a Hospital, Primary Care, Emergency Department, or Urgent Care setting  

OR    • One of the following MA certifications at the time of hire ( or must obtain within 12 months of hire):  

• CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National Health career Association) 

• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistants, or CHP Certified Health Professionals) 

• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists, or AAH, American Allied Health, or ARMA American Registry of Medical Assistants) 

• NCMA- National Certified Medical Assistant (verified through NCCT, National Center for Competency Testing) 

• NRCMA- Nationally Registered Certified Medial Assistant (verified through the National Association for Health Professionals) 

OR    • One of the following: 

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing, LPN or LVN at the time of hire (verified through state license) 

• EMT- Emergency Medical Technician (verified through state certification and/or the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians) 

• Paramedic (verified through state certification and/or and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians) 

Required Licenses/Certifications   • CPOE certification   required   within 2 weeks of hire if MA certification is not obtained at hire  

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA) 

  One of the following certifications is required (or must obtain within 12 months of hire):  • CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (verified through NHA, National HealthCareer Association) 

• CMA- Certified Medical Assistant (verified through AAMA, American Association of Medical Assistant) 

• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant (verified through AMT, American Medical Technologists or AAH, American Allied Health)

Additional Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required • Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work • Social perceptiveness and service oriented • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational and planning skills • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software • Keyboard proficiency • Experience using Electronic Health Records
