Sandvik has an opportunity for a   Buyer Analyst   p osition   in Alachua,   Florida   USA (greater Gainesville, FL   area). ) .

The Rotary Drilling Division is now looking for a dynamic and experienced Buyer Analyst who will be responsible for procurement to support production and after-market support.

The key responsibilities are : • Purchase components based on requirements within MRP.

• Expedite, de-expedite, and cancel parts based on production requirements.

• Purchase components for Maintenance, Repair, and Operation (MRO) via hand requisitions or through the internet approval sites. (As needed)

• Resolve any invoice disputes with the supplier.

• Resolve non-conforming parts by sending parts back to the supplier for evaluation, rework, or replacement.

• Gather information from suppliers to gain a better understanding of the assigned suppliers' supply constraints.

Education & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in business management or applicable studies, with (3) years of experience,

• Or Associate's degree & 4+ years’ experience in purchasing manufacturing parts,

• Or Equivalent Educational background with 5+ years’ experience in purchasing manufacturing parts.

Required Competencies • Ability to follow instructions and processes to perform the functions of the job.

• Ability to function independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness, and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction.

• Ability to type 35wpm and 10-key data entry.

• Creativity to continuously improve processes.

• Fluent in both written and oral English; Spanish is a plus.

• Knowledge of ERP or MRP and their applications.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.

• Strong interpersonal skills are required.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
