What You’ll Do

The Business Development Officer, Government Banking will cultivate new business opportunities within the public sector across the Wintrust footprint, through direct calling, association and conference participation and working in tandem with Wintrust’s local Relationship Managers. The position will also be responsible for assisting in the management of prospects and clients by providing industry specific knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Develops new public sector relationships – actively participates in external community activities as required to promote bank and develop a business referral network

• Provides a superior level of customer relations and service, ensuring internal and external client satisfaction by responding promptly to customer inquiries and request

• Contributes to the RFP response process for new opportunities

• Participates in miscellaneous public funds portfolio specific projects, as necessary

• Moderate travel required to attend conferences

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Treasury Management Sales focusing on Government Sector

• BA in business, finance, or similar area

• Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to build relationships and interact with various business lines and management

• Successful track record of driving new business growth and developing well rounded client relationships

• Strong analytical and organizational skills, detail-oriented, and ability to multitask

• Extensive experience in building and supporting business line development and operations

• Leads by example; fostering collaboration, ownership and results

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $98,000 - $132,000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
