Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Innovation, the Business Continuity Engineer will spearhead the enhancement of Samsung Austin Semiconductor’s Business Continuity Program (BCP) across both the Austin and Taylor sites. The role also calls for a mechanically adept professional who has hands-on experience with fab infrastructure and/or fab production equipment, understanding the technical nuances and maintenance requirements of these assets. Familiarity with the associated business processes—such as equipment qualification, preventive maintenance, and capacity planning—is critical to drive continuous improvement and ensure seamless integration of continuity plans. The individual in this position must demonstrate the ability to perform rigorous analyses, propose and drive improvement actions, and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills are required to manage cross-functional coordination during BCP events. Role and Responsibilities
Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: • Conducting annual Threats and Vulnerabilities Analyses.
• Identifying and driving improvement actions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Designing and executing realistic Business Continuity Program (BCP) drills.
• Coordinating the activation for any continuity events.
• Defining, tracking, and evolving multi-site operational KPIs.
• Building executive grade dashboards to visualize performance, and delivering regular KPI reports and insights to executive leadership, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need: • B .S. in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, etc.).
• 7-15 Years of Experience in Complex High-Volume Manufacturing environment (Semiconductor a plus).
• Knowledge of Complex Manufacturing environment; including production equipment, infrastructure and operations
• Detailed and organized
The current base salary range for this role is between $106,000 - $174,500. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
