SUMMARY To operate all equipment and select materials required to provide consistent material to extruders and maintain blend inventory.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May include, but are not limited to, the following: • Set the mixer system to properly produce compound needed for production. • Have the ability to recognize all ingredients and materials by the labels on the super sacs. • Verify Stabilizer weights. • Have the ability to work with minimum supervision. • Ability to do minor trouble shooting of problems. • Make proper machine adjustments and perform minor maintenance to ensure consistent quality blends, safe operation and optimum output of compounding system. • Complete all reports and paperwork. • Be able to run month end report to match blend production VS SAP entries. • Make routine inspections of mixing operation, mixer system and silos. • Transport loads of materials with forklift. • When needed, must be able to climb silos and railcars. • Unload resin from railcars. • Be able to get calcium trucks hooked up to unload. • Assist pellet truck drivers in hooking up to the correct silo to load white/grey pellets • Ability to stage regrind to be loaded into silo for running FAD • Ability to load regrind into silo to run FAD • Order and release rail cars • Keep area clean, safe and organized • Other duties may be assigned if deemed necessary to assist in daily plant production. • Must meet specified performance requirements of the job. • Verify your hooked up to the correct silo for the compound you are making • Proper storage of minors on top floor • Ability to use crane and elevator as needed

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS • Requires a High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to touch, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.  The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT This position has a transitioning work environment.  Office/computer, manufacturing plant and outdoor environments are normal.  The noise level in the plant environment is usually high, as normal for a manufacturing plant.  Some of the work in the operating units may require usage of required PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, fall protection, hard hats, etc.
