Position Summary The Associate Director of Executive MBA Enrollment Management is responsible for developing and cultivating a strong pipeline of prospective students and driving candidate engagement, conversion, and enrollment outcomes for the Executive MBA (EMBA) program. EMBA candidates are highly accomplished professionals, typically with 10+ years of management and leadership experience, and many already hold graduate or professional degrees. The associate director must be able to establish credibility and build trusted relationships with senior executives and experienced professionals who are evaluating a $150K+ investment. Due to the evolving landscape in higher education degree programs, this requires a level of business acumen, professional maturity, and consultative sales ability beyond that of a traditional admissions recruiting role.
This position plays a critical role in supporting the EMBA program’s annual enrollment and revenue objectives, which may evolve based on program and school priorities. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining a strong, sustainable pipeline of qualified prospects and driving engagement and conversion in support of those objectives. This role goes beyond managing inbound inquiries and requires a proactive, relationship-driven professional who can identify and generate new prospects through targeted outreach, corporate and alumni relationships, professional networks, referrals, events, and other business development activities. The position manages the candidate lifecycle from initial engagement through enrollment, building trusted relationships with experienced professionals and senior leaders considering a significant educational investment. The role requires strong consultative sales skills, business acumen, professional presence, and independent judgment to develop new opportunities, effectively communicate the value of the Executive MBA, and convert qualified prospects into enrolled students
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead Recruitment and Candidate Engagement Lead the full candidate lifecycle from initial engagement through enrollment, providing a high-touch and personalized experience appropriate for the Executive MBA audience. • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective EMBA students. • Conduct personalized outreach through phone, email, text, virtual meetings, and in-person interactions. • Understand candidates' professional backgrounds, career goals, motivations, and needs and tailor engagement accordingly. • Maintain consistent and strategic follow-up to move qualified prospects through the recruitment and admissions process. • Serve as a trusted resource to candidates evaluating the value, fit, and return on investment of the Executive MBA program. • Maintain engagement with applicants and admitted students to support conversion and enrollment.
Pipeline Development and Business Development Proactively develop and cultivate new prospects to build and maintain a strong EMBA enrollment pipeline. • Generate new leads through targeted outreach, corporate relationships, professional networks, alumni engagement, referrals, events, and strategic partnerships. • Identify and pursue new sources of qualified EMBA prospects rather than relying primarily on inbound inquiries. • Develop relationships with corporate and community partners that may support future EMBA recruitment. • Prioritize prospects and outreach activities based on candidate fit, engagement, and likelihood to progress. • Identify opportunities to re-engage inactive or previously interested prospects. • Adjust outreach strategies based on pipeline trends, candidate behavior, and enrollment needs.
Recruitment Strategy, Events and Market Engagement Develop and execute recruitment activities designed to generate prospects, increase engagement, and support enrollment goals. • Plan and execute virtual and in-person recruitment events, including program previews, networking events, thought leadership programs, information sessions, and yield activities. • Represent the Executive MBA program at local and national recruitment events, corporate engagements, and professional networking opportunities. • Deliver presentations and conduct individual conversations that effectively communicate the program's value proposition and differentiators. • Partner with Marketing, faculty, alumni, and other stakeholders to develop opportunities for lead generation and candidate engagement. • Monitor prospect and market trends and recommend adjustments to recruitment activities and messaging.
Admissions and Candidate Assessment Participate in candidate evaluation and admissions decision-making in support of EMBA enrollment objectives. • Review applications and assess candidate readiness and fit for the Executive MBA program. • Conduct admissions interviews. • Evaluate candidates based on professional experience, leadership potential, career goals, and program fit. • Participate in admissions and scholarship discussions and provide recommendations. • Contribute to Admissions Committee decision-making in alignment with program and enrollment objectives.
CRM, Pipeline Analysis and Reporting Use CRM systems and enrollment data to actively manage recruitment activity, prioritize outreach, and improve conversion. • Maintain accurate and timely candidate records in Salesforce and related systems. • Monitor prospect engagement, pipeline movement, application activity, conversion, and enrollment progress. • Analyze recruitment and pipeline trends to identify opportunities and potential gaps. • Use data to prioritize candidate outreach and recommend adjustments to recruitment tactics. • Provide regular updates on pipeline health, recruitment activity, and progress toward enrollment goals.
