Department: SOM KC General Surgery ----- Surgery General Position Title: Assistant Professor - Surgery General Job Family Group: Academic Job Description Summary: Full-time tenure track or non-tenure track faculty member of the Department of Surgery at the Assistant Professor level with a clinical emphasis in colorectal surgery. Job Description: Job Duties • Hold a teaching faculty appointment with the School of Medicine.
• Expected to teach and mentor both medical students and residents in the area of general surgery in particular colorectal surgery.
• Participate as an active clinical member of the Colorectal and Oncologic Surgery Division.
• Perform academic research related to surgery oncology.
• Participate on departmental and university committees as assigned.

Required Qualifications Certification: Board eligible or board certified in Surgery. Work Experience: • Background in teaching and research.
• Completion of a fellowship in Colorectal Surgery.
