Job Description: Johnson & Johnson Healthcare Systems, Inc., a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting a Trade Compliance Operation Analyst! This position will be located in New Brunswick, New Jersey, with considerations given to alternate New Jersey J&J locations at the discretion of the business.

As part of GTTO in the Transportation team, the Trade Ops Analyst will support day-to-day trade compliance activities related to import and export transactions. This role assists with maintaining accurate product trade data, supporting customs clearance activities, preparing documentation, responding to routine broker and internal partner inquiries, and escalating complex issues to senior team members or the Trade Compliance Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the maintenance of product trade compliance data, including HTSUS, ECCN, FDA product codes, country of origin, and related classification information in J&J systems and global classification databases. 

• Perform routine classification updates and validate product information for accuracy, completeness, and consistency with established procedures. 

• Respond to routine transactional inquiries from customs brokers, freight forwarders, and internal business partners regarding product information required for import or export clearance. 

• Prepare and organize import/export documentation to support customs clearance and compliance with U.S. Customs, FDA, USDA, and other applicable government agency requirements. 

• Process HTS and Country of Origin requests in SAP in accordance with established work instructions and procedures. 

• Review transactional shipment information and identify potential classification, valuation, country of origin, or documentation concerns for escalation. 

• Escalate complex regulatory questions, classification issues, shipment exceptions, or compliance concerns to the Trade Compliance Lead or designated senior team member. 

• Assist with trade compliance initiatives such as duty drawback, free trade agreement support, tariff mitigation activities, and other compliance-related projects as assigned. 

• Support compliance assessments and internal reviews by gathering data, maintaining records, organizing documentation, and tracking assigned action items. 

• Prepare routine compliance reports, dashboards, metrics, and status updates for review by senior team members or the Trade Compliance Lead. 

• Maintain trade compliance records, standard operating procedures, work instructions, and supporting documentation in accordance with recordkeeping requirements and internal processes. 

• Participate in process improvement activities by identifying recurring transactional issues, documentation gaps, or opportunities to improve data accuracy and operational efficiency. 

• Collaborate with internal teams, customs brokers, freight forwarders, and business partners to support timely and compliant movement of goods. 

  Qualifications: Education: • Minimum of bachelor’s or equivalent university degree required. • Certified Customs Specialist preferred.
