About the Practice Corewell Health Bariatrics provides compassionate, lifelong care for patients living with obesity, many of whom come to us feeling discouraged or stigmatized. Through our medical and surgical weight loss programs, we have the privilege of helping patients find hope, improve their health, and achieve meaningful milestones, including reducing or resolving obesity-related conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease. We primarily serve adults, while also supporting pediatric and adolescent patients through our medical program and expanding surgical options for adolescents. Our team is made up of dedicated MAs, ACTs, and RNs who work closely with providers, dietitians, and psychologists to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. Collaboration, communication, and teamwork are at the heart of what we do, supported by regular team meetings and twice-weekly huddles that keep us connected. About About Outpatient Clinics  Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area. 

Scope of work    Acts as a team member in the delivery of quality patient care under the supervision of a Provider or Registered Nurse (RN) in the examination and treatment of patients to facilitate clinic flow and provide excellent patient care. Performs basic skills per department guidelines and policies; communicate observations to members of the health care team. It will also include rooming patients, collecting vitals, and assisting in minor office procedures. EPIC In basket work. Processing FMLA and short-term Disability work. Answering phones.

Qualifications    • High School Diploma or equivalent Required • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
