ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES • Perform the following with limited supervision: • Prioritize workflow through the department based on production requirements

• Read and following drawings, SOPs, and blueprints for part installation and caulk application in assigned area

• Full operation and basic troubleshooting of multiple pieces of equipment, where assigned, which may include equipment press brake, CNC, laser, linear punch, whitney punch, trumpf punch, elumatic saw, complex automation systems, waterjet, spinner

• Perform operator-level cleaning and maintenance for their assigned area

• Perform multiple tooling changeovers

• Conform to all safety guidelines while performing duties and operating equipment

• Wear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for the position

• Support daily and monthly production goals and targets

• Utilize SOPs and Standard Work Instructions to complete work

• Contribute to safety and process improvement initiatives

• Learn SAP/ MII / MES Processes

• Demonstrate reliability and ownership of assigned processes

• Identify work to be performed via SAP or MII work center priority

• Perform physical material movements

• Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S and lean initiatives

• Cross-train within department

• Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible in areas they are cross-trained in

• Help train new production team members as assigned

• Perform other duties as assigned 

SUPERVISORY/MANAGERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES No   QUALIFICATIONS • HS Diploma or GED preferred

• 12+ months prior manufacturing experience preferred

• Must be a minimum of 18 years old

• Effective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skills

• Strong attention to detail

• High focus on quality and safety

• Proficient math, reading, and computer skills

• Advanced skill in the use basic, pneumatic, and power tools

• Advanced skill in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawings

• Intermediate knowledge of differences between parts flowing through assigned areas

• Intermediate use of various prepping supplies and equipment required for assigned areas

• Able to understand safety protocols of automated systems

• Knowledge and ability to perform other jobs in other pay grades

• Experience in reading measuring devices

• Ability to safely operate equipment, which may include material movement equipment such as overhead lifting devices, forklifts, etc.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, if offered employment

TRAVEL Minimum travel required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Position requires ability to move with ease in the production area; possess physical strength and stamina to remain in stationary/standing position for prolonged periods; use hands and fingers for potentially repetitive handling, gripping, and manipulating product, tools, and equipment; position oneself to complete work including bending, balancing, twisting, rotating, stooping, climbing, moving over uneven surfaces; push, pull and reach; and lift, carry, move or position objects up to 50 pounds regularly.    Work is performed in a manufacturing environment with potential exposure to operating machinery with moving mechanical parts, airborne particles, forklift and crane operations, and vibration as well as varied exposure to noise.  Personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toed footwear required.  Additional PPE may be required based upon work. This is a safety-sensitive position, and impairment while performing the tasks or duties of this role could pose a health and safety risk to both the individual performing the tasks as well as those around them.  Dependent upon location, the facility may or may not be a climate-controlled plant which could result in varied hot and cold temperatures swings at times.   SPECIAL NOTATION The preceding statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people in this position.
