M9 Solutions is seeking an Advanced Mechanical Engineer to work onsite in support of a government contract for a client located in McLeansville, NC . A Secret clearance obtainable after hire is required.
Responsibilities
• Design, development, and testing of mechanical devices, including tools, engines, and machines.
• Apply principles of engineering, physics, and materials science to create mechanical solutions that are safe, efficient, and reliable.
• Fast-paced, quick-turn modeling and verification of research and development designs.
Required Skills and Qualifications
• Secret security clearance obtainable after hire is required.
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, or Mathematics field, plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of computer-aided analysis tools (thermal, CFD, structural), such as Ansys.
• Working knowledge of computer-aided design tools (3D, 2D, layout), such as Creo.
• Experience with small form factor, high power electromechanical elements.
• Self-starting, detail-focused, problem solver.
• Experience with high-pressure applications, including sealing technologies.
• Demonstrated documentation experience — procedures, specifications, design packages, and engineering reports.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications
• Proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards.
• Creative thinker capable of leading a team in the preparation of project design, testing, and prototype fabrication.
• Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to document technical information to be consumed by technical and non-technical individuals.
Full-Time Employee Compensation
• M9 Solutions’ pay range for this position is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include, but are not limited to, responsibilities of the position, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as internal equity, location, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.

Salary Range $60,000 — $180,000 USD
