Job Details Adjunct Instructor, American Studies/American Literature
Part-time, one-semester contract, with possibility of renewal
College of Humanities and Sciences
Candidates must be qualified to teach "American Visions,” a first-year course focused on key humanities texts from diverse perspectives in American culture. The successful candidate will be a dynamic and experienced teacher who applies active student-learning methods in the classroom.
Job Description Ph.D. or ABD in American Studies, American Literature, modern U.S. History or related field is preferred. This Fall semester course will be offered in person on our East Falls campus on a MW schedule. There are 2 sections available at 9:30 to 10:45 am and 12:30 to 1:45 pm. Classes begin on August 24th and final grades are due by December 21st. Candidates should submit a letter of application detailing experiences and areas of academic specialization and a curriculum vitae. Additional materials may be requested at a later date. Review of candidates will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
