The work

The A&A Engineer is responsible for leading the engineering, planning, design, and implementation of cybersecurity services and solutions aligned with NIST special publications and federal compliance frameworks. In this role, you will apply expert knowledge of federal security policy requirements, standards, and guidelines to assess, enhance, and maintain secure client technology environments.

You will conduct testing and evaluation of security controls across established security frameworks, deploy security tools and solutions, and ensure their effectiveness in strengthening the organization’s cybersecurity posture.

A key aspect of this role is leading research efforts into security compliance hardening guidance, identifying configuration gaps and weaknesses in client technologies, and collaborating with stakeholders to recommend compliant solutions and monitor remediation. The A&A Engineer helps ensure the client's cybersecurity landscape continues to mature and align with federal expectations.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead engineering efforts to plan, design, and implement cybersecurity services aligned with NIST special publications

• Apply expert knowledge of federal cybersecurity policy requirements, standards, and guidelines

• Evaluate and test security controls across established security frameworks and deploy security tools/solutions

• Conduct research into compliance hardening guidance to identify gaps and weaknesses in client technologies

• Work closely with stakeholders to recommend compliant cybersecurity solutions and track remediation progress

• Support continuous improvement of cybersecurity posture across client environments

Here’s what you need:

• Expert knowledge of NIST special publications, federal cybersecurity standards, and compliance frameworks

• Experience implementing federal security requirements in enterprise technology environments

• Hands‑on experience testing, evaluating, and deploying security controls and security tools

• Strong analytical skills for identifying security weaknesses and proposing compliant solutions

• Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to improve cybersecurity governance

Eligibility requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland . The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Accenture Federal Services offers a wide variety of benefits. You can find more information on benefits here. We accept applications on an on-going basis and there is no fixed deadline to apply.

The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is: $91,300 — $221,100 USD
