Job Summary: The 4-H Outreach Support Associate is a part-time position (60-75% FTE, 24-30 hours) working in and throughout St. Croix and Pierce Counties
The 4-H Outreach Support Associate will assist with planning, communicating, and organizing 4-H events and activities and building awareness of 4-H outreach programs through marketing to new audiences and helping to provide positive youth development experience to retain new and previous participants in 4-H programs. The position will work closely with the St. Croix County and Pierce County 4-H Program Educators. The individual in this position will also be essential in developing and sustaining community partnerships that support programming.
County Location
The main office for this position is located in either Ellsworth or Baldwin, WI with a primary programming and support focus in Pierce and St. Croix Counties.
In Person
It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.
Evening/Weekend Work
This position may be required to work occasional nights and weekends to meet the program needs and priorities of the communities served.
FTE 60-75% FTE, 24-30 hours

It is expected that employees will make individual arrangements for transportation adequate to meet position responsibilities and essential job functions. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift 30 pounds in educational equipment
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work outside in different weather elements (i.e. county fairs or youth camps)
Key Job Responsibilities: • Teaches culturally relevant educational programs to adults and youth using learner-centered activities and lessons
• Tracks program evaluation and incorporates feedback for improvement
• Procures and maintains course materials and supplies
• Implements initiatives and events that serve the target audience
• Helps design marketing materials and promotions for programs
Department: The Division of Extension, Positive Youth Development Institute, is hiring for an Outreach Associate Non-Exempt.

The Extension Institute of Positive Youth Development prepares the youth of today to become the effective, empathic adults of tomorrow. Our research-based youth enrichment programs like teens in governance build youth and adult capacity that help both sides grow. 4-H clubs, camps and afterschool programs give young people the hands-on experiences they need to develop an understanding of themselves and the world.
Compensation: The minimum starting hourly rate for the position is $18.91 per hour but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Required Qualifications: • Ability to teach interactive lessons to youth and adults in groups settings
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional work environments
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and perspectives
• Experience providing administrative, program, event, or office support in a professional setting.
• Demonstrated ability to organize multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications: • Experience supporting youth development, educational, community-based, nonprofit, Extension, or volunteer-focused programs
• Experience working with 4-H, Cooperative Extension, youth organizations, schools, camps, or similar programs.
• Experience planning, coordinating, or supporting meetings, workshops, trainings, events, or educational programs.
• Experience using enrollment, registration, event management, or customer relationship management (CRM) systems.
• Experience creating newsletters, social media content, marketing materials, or website updates.
Education: Required Education
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education
Bachelor's degree
