2027 Summer Internship – Product Strategy Analyst, US

Internship positions are   located   at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CA Headquarters  

You’re   eligible to apply if you:   

• Are pursuing an undergraduate degree – preferably majoring in   Business/Finance, Economics, Mathematics,   Engineering   or applied science  

• Must be eligible   to   b egin  full-time   employment   from a   PIMCO office between   January 202 8   – August 202 8    

• Must be enrolled at a university during the Fall   202 7   semester ( August 202 7   – December 202 7 )  

• Have a minimum   3. 5   cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university  

• Must be willing to work in Newport Beach, CA   

You’ll   excel as a Product Analyst if you   have :  

• A n   i nterest in the financial markets,   investing, and   macroeconomics

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills  

• A n   analytical , detail-oriented   skill set   

• P roficiency   with Microsoft Excel   and   PowerPoint   

• Strong   time management   and organization   skills  

• The ability to work effectively and professionally with all levels of personnel both internally and externally   

• Demonstrate curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes  

See yourself as a Product Analyst:  

You’ll   gain a strong understanding of the business of investment management across market segments.   Responsibilities vary between teams but may include some of the following:  

• Market and economic updates  

• Portfolio commentaries  

• Portfolio   c onstruction   & analysis  

• Competitor intelligence  

• Client presentation materials  

• Risk and performance attribution  

• Development of AI tools to help   facilitate   productivity of certa in workflows  

Product Strategy Group : The Product Strategy Group is   an   entrepreneurial   team   responsible for financial market   and investment strategy   expertise   (both internally and externally), strategic business management,   new product   development, a nd   establishing key messaging for   client   marketing   and servicing   across   a wide range of PIMCO product lines. As part of this team, you will gain broad exposure to financial markets, product design/development and distribution, portfolio analysis, and client communication.  

While our eligibility requirements are not flexible, we encourage you to apply even if you do not   possess   100% of the desired skills outlined above.  

The PIMCO Internship Experience:   

• The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program    

• During Week 1,   you’ll   participate   in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success  

• Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior   leaders   and team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer  

• You’ll   receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals  

• You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources that help build future ready skills and make an impact from the start  

• Alongside your colleagues,   participate   in PIMCO's   Global Month of Volunteering , developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts

• As a PIMCO intern,   you’ll   receive competitive compensation, along with a transition bonus to help with relocation to   Newport Beach, CA, if applicable  

What to expect during the interview process:   

• After we receive your application, we will conduct   an initial   review of your resume    

• If you are selected to move forward, you will take a cognitive assessment and   have the opportunity to   showcase   your interests, skills, and personality by completing a one-way video interview    

• Once you complete the assessment and one-way video interview, you will have a final round of live interviews via video conference. These interviews typically include both behavioral and technical questions
