AIG’s Marine business offers the opportunity to work across a diverse range of specialty product lines that support global trade, transportation, and commerce. Our teams provide Inland Marine, Ocean Cargo, and Marine Liability solutions for businesses of all sizes, from domestic operations to complex multinational organizations, helping clients protect their assets and manage risk across land, sea, and international borders.   

Working alongside underwriters, risk consultants, claims professionals, and multinational specialists, you will evaluate complex exposures, develop tailored insurance solutions, and build profitable portfolios in a dynamic marketplace. Marine professionals   leverage   data, market insights, broker relationships, and deep industry   expertise   to support decision-making and drive sustainable growth. How you will   make   an   I mpact    

AIG’s   S ummer   I nterns are immersed in the day-to-day operations of a fast-moving, global insurance company.   During the   9 -week program ,   y ou will gain valuable, hands-on experience and insurance industry knowledge ,   work ing   with leaders on dynamic projects, with   plenty of   opportunity for challenges,   learning   and achievement.   

S ummer   I nterns join one of our   key   business   teams , which   offers   a unique opportunity to obtain core technical knowledge and professional skills in a diverse environment. In addition to   meaningful on-the-job experiences ,   interns will join instructor - led masterclasses,   hear directly from senior   leaders, and build meaningful connections through mentoring circles, networking   events   and volunteering.   

Following completion of   the internship program, interns may be considered for a role in the location where they completed their internship, with the Analyst program beginning in July 2028 .  

Responsibilities    

• Support the evaluation and underwriting of risks across Inland Marine, Ocean Cargo, Marine Liability, and related specialty products.  

• Review underwriting submissions, exposure information,   loss   history, and other relevant data to support risk   selection , pricing, and coverage decisions.  

• Partner with underwriters, risk consultants, claims professionals, and multinational specialists to develop tailored insurance solutions.  

• Build relationships with brokers and clients while supporting new business, renewals, and profitable portfolio growth.  

• Analyze market trends and emerging risks related to transportation, global trade, and commerce to support underwriting decisions.  

• Develop technical knowledge of marine insurance while building analytical, decision-making, and relationship-management skills.  

Minimum Qualifications   

Education Requirements  

• Bachelor’s or Master’s   degree to be received no later than June 2028 (unofficial transcript   required   upon application).  

Program Requirements  

• Available for the complete Summer Internship Program from June 7 through August 6, 2027.  

• Summer Intern positions are in-person opportunities, requiring interns to work in the office at least four days per week.  

Core Qualifications  

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional environment.  

• Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail.  

• Ability   to collaborate effectively, manage multiple priorities, and adapt in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.  

Preferred Qualifications  

• Preferred majors include Risk Management & Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or   a related field .  

• Demonstrated interest in global trade, transportation, commercial insurance, or risk management.  

• I nterest   in evaluating complex exposures.
